Deckchair Safety and Maintenance

We highly recommend that you inspect every aspect of your deckchair on a daily basis or before each use to ensure prompt detection of any damage that may have occurred.

It is important to supervise children at all times while they use the deckchair. The device is intended for its sole purpose as a chair, and not for adventurous climbing activities.

It is strongly advised to adhere to the weight limit of the Giant Deckchair, which stands at a maximum of 250kg, equivalent to three reasonably-sized adults. The Classic chair caters to approximately 100kg.

As it is well-known, deckchairs can fall or tip over under harsh weather conditions including high-velocity winds. Therefore, caution should be exercised, and in case of uncertainty, it is wise to carefully fold and store the deckchair away.

When opening or closing the deckchairs, it is vital to avoid trapping fingers in the hinges. We suggest that you place the chair on a stable, soft and level ground such as grass, sand or woodchip to avoid any hazards.

Furthermore, we recommend having at least two persons to lift and fold/unfold a Giant Deckchair ensuring the frame is levelled and even during the entire process.

It is important to confirm that the chair is properly and securely unfolded, stowed and locked prior to use.

As customers use the chairs at their own risk, it is imperative to regularly check the chair for any signs of damage and wear and tear, particularly in the fabric seating area.
